Customer Access & Management Representative

Applied Predictive Analytics (APA) will hire a Customer Access and Management Representative to own the operational relationship between APA and its utility clients. This role is the primary day-to-day contact for customers moving through APA’s four-step engagement model: Profile, Pilot, Integration, Prevention.

What you’ll do.

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for utility clients across the engagement lifecycle, from Infrastructure Risk Assessment through ongoing FilterForecast or FaultForecast deployment.
  • Coordinate handoffs between APA’s data science, engineering, and leadership teams and the utility’s engineering, GIS, and operations contacts — keeping work moving without introducing friction.
  • Own the operational calendar for client engagements: kickoff sessions, data transfer, pilot reviews, integration milestones, quarterly check-ins.
  • Surface recurring client needs and product feedback into APA’s internal roadmap, working with product and engineering to prioritize what actually affects clients.
  • Build documentation, internal playbooks, and client-facing materials that make repeat engagements faster and more consistent.

What we’re looking for.

  • 3+ years of experience in customer success, account management, technical project management, or a related client-facing role, ideally in B2B SaaS, professional services, or a regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent enterprise engagements without dropping operational details — calendars, contracts, deliverables, escalations.
  • Comfort with technical subject matter — you don’t need to be a data scientist, but you need to follow a conversation about GIS data formats, SCADA integration, or model risk scores without getting lost.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, especially the ability to translate between engineering and business stakeholders without losing precision.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Los Angeles metro area; available for hybrid work (two to three in-office days per week).

What APA offers.

  • Direct ownership of the client relationship at a company whose clients are public agencies and major utilities — meaningful scope for a customer operations role.
  • Partnership with a small senior team: the Founder, the product and engineering leads, and (when this role is filled) the Data Science function.
  • Exposure to the procurement, regulatory, and operational realities of utility infrastructure — uncommon training ground for customer operations professionals.
  • Compensation and benefits to be determined when the role opens; competitive for the Los Angeles market.
